GOLD
Linköping, Sweden 2019
In 2018 I was invited by the city of Linköping for art working site specifically in the Berga Sculpture park which is a protected Natura 2000 area. My idea was to express correlations between the climate and the nature on earth. An oak which had got a stroke of lightning was the inspiration for my ephemeral installation. I decided to gold cover the traces where the tree was struck by lightning starting in a hight of 15 meters and following down to the size of a human. For protecting the tree and the animals living in the dead part of the oak I used aluminium plate. Measuring, gold covering and climbing where the main steps in the process. In October 2019 the work called Stigma will become deinstalled.
