Kjerringøy, Norway, 2019
During the Kjerringøy Land Art Biennalen north of the Polar Circle, Karl created different installations by using materials of the sites and inspired by the Sami idea of SEJTAR: LOST as a big cross of stones coming up and disappearing again with the tide, is no religious or confessional work but some kind of a Tide Memory which is asking questions. After that he worked with REFUND, a dead tree coloured with clay and installed in the Tide water as a wittness telling the story of the Nevelsfjorden and connecting the past and the future.
