Karl is deeply engaged in Art and Ecology, questions about creating in responsibility for the art process as a whole, the environmental consequences of choosing place, materials, sources of energy, size and impact of an art work, but also emotional and psychological effects.
When creating in Nature Karl always dismantles his installations before sunset without any traces left.
In 2017 he became the initiator and founder of Nordic Green Art™. The first conference of this platform was holt at the Swedish west coast supported by the Nordic Culture Fund with representatives from Denmark, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Finland and Norway.
The second conference was following in autumn 2018 in Helsingfors, Finland and a work session in Dronninglund, Denmark in spring 2019.
The next meeting will be on Iceland in winter time 2020.
